Alternative Home Ownership Schemes

Shared ownership schemes offer an affordable way to get on the home ownership ladder. This option makes home ownership more affordable because you can part buy and part rent your home.

The Department of Communities & Local Government (DCLG) Website contains the most comprehensive information on all home ownership schemes operated by Local authorities and Residential Social Landlords. More information can be found via the related links to the right.

There are a number of websites which you can use to give you an idea of how much properties are being sold for in your area, for example upmystreet is a very useful website and a link can be found to the right. If you are looking to purchase your home via the Right to Buy then we will arrange for a valuation to be carried out by our approved estate agent who will also provide an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC), if you disagree with the valuation we provide you may appeal to the District Valuation Office.

To find out about shared-ownership schemes in your local area please contact us on 0300 365 1111.

Alternatively you may wish to contact our partners Homes Hub who are the Governments Homebuy agent for Merseyside and Cheshire and may be able to offer you an affordable way of becoming a home owner.
