Minor Adaptations Service

One Vision Housing recognises that even minor adaptations to your home can have a huge impact on the safety and wellbeing of disabled or older tenants.

We are committed to enabling older and disabled tenants to maintain their independence and ensuring that their homes are safe and convenient to use.

We will, where appropriate, carry out minor adaptations to your home without waiting for an occupational therapist visit.

If you think you require three or more of the items mentioned you may need to contact social services for a thorough assessment of your needs.

What happens after you submit your application?

Within two working weeks One Vision Housing will contact you and screen your request to ensure that the submission meets your requirements.

You will then be sent an appointment giving you a date when the minor adaptations will be carried out.

The staff allocated for supplying and fitting your minor adaptations will be experienced and competent.

They may need to carry out a risk assessment of the proposed works for insurance purposes.

One Vision Housing will consult you on your requirements and then carry out and complete the works to your satisfaction.

Monitoring

One Vision Housing has systems in place to monitor the outcomes of the minor adaptations service. This includes independent telephone service user satisfaction surveys.

One Vision Housing are data controllers under the Data Protection Act 1998. We will process personal information you have supplied to us in accordance with that Act and only for the purpose for which it is collected. Data will not be disclosed to any unauthorised persons.
