Gas Repairs
All gas repairs are attended to by our gas contractor Apollo heating. All failures or breakdowns of One Vision Housing owned gas appliances, and all queries with regard to appointments and ongoing repairs should be directed to 0300 365 1111.
Suspected gas leaks should be reported to National Grid immediately on 0800 111 999. Further information on gas safety is available on the Gas Safe Register website.
Annual Services
In addition to the general repairs obligation, we have a legal requirement to carry out an annual service and inspection. This is necessary to ensure the health and safety of you and your neighbours.
If you do not allow access to the property we will be forced to gain access to carry out the work, and you will be charged for any costs incurred. You will be given advance warning of any action to be taken.
Turn on and Tests
Turn on and tests is a service carried for new tenants to ensure that our gas appliances are safe and working correctly when you move in. This will be arranged when you sign for a new tenancy.
Carbon Monoxide Awareness
Carbon Monoxide (CO) is a colourless, odourless, tasteless, poisonous gas produced by incomplete burning of carbon-based fuels, including gas, oil, wood and coal. Carbon- based fuels are safe to use. It is only when the fuel does not burn properly that excess CO is produced, which is poisonous. When CO enters the body, it prevents the blood from bringing oxygen to cells, tissues and organs.
