I have worked within community development for the past five years and am passionate about seeing communities strengthened and sustained through residents working with local service providers to find long lasting solutions to local issues.

Bill Merritt

Youth Engagement Coordinator

Hello, my name is Bill Merritt and I am the Youth Engagement Coordinator. My role in the organisation is to coordinate initiatives targeted at young people to increase OVH’s level of youth engagement.

My previous role in One Vision was a with the ASB team as an ASB officer, but I have also been in the youth work field for nearly twenty years. I believe that developing and providing the right guidance to young people is an important way of dealing with the negative perception that they are given. In my role, I aim to work with the young people living with OVH neighbourhoods and promote them in a more positive light.
