The Irlam House residents association in Bootle recently gained funding to create a mural for their entrance hall. The high-rise block has recently been re-furbished by Connaught as part of OVH’s Decent Homes programme.
The tiled mural contains images of Irlam House, St Mary’s Church, Seaforth Docks and wind turbines, the Leeds/Liverpool Canal and the River Mersey. It is now on display in the entrance hall at Irlam House.
John Barlow, Chairman of the Residents’ Association said: “This mural has made such a difference to the building and we’ve really enjoyed working with the local community. We couldn’t have done it without Safe Productions or Connaught so we’re really grateful for their help.”
