One Vision Housing are one of the few housing associations in the country to achieve 100% gas servicing figures with no cases in the legal process.

We have used a range of measures to reach this milestone including text reminders to let tenants know when their certificate is going to be out of date, contacting tenants out of work hours and booking weekend and evening appointments to make it easier for tenants who work.

We've also used a innovative device called a Honeywell Timer which has additional features to help landlords comply with gas regulations including scrolling text reminders which if ignored will trigger an interruption in the heating and water supply, prompting the customer to check the timer and arrange an appointment.

In reaching this landmark, we have also reached record customer satisfaction levels with more than 98% of customers happy with their gas service.

By law, all appliances in each tenant’s home must be inspected by the landlord once a year. If they are found to be safe, a gas safety certificate is issued.

All OVH tenants who allow access on the first gas safety appointment are automatically entered into a monthly prize draw to win £100.

Miss Elena Garcia is the winner of the March cash draw.

She said: “I’m so happy. I can have a splurge over Easter now! I can’t believe I’ve been given a prize just for letting someone check my appliances.”
