Fun in the 'sun'
A carnival atmosphere descended on Bootle as One Vision Housing held a summer fun day in North Park last week.
The rain didn’t prevent over 1000 people attending the day which provided a mixture of entertainment, support and advice.
While the children tried their hand at circus skills and climbing walls, the adults were given the opportunity to visit a host of agencies for guidance and support.
This included information from the Illegal Money Lending Team and advice from OVH’s Financial Inclusion Team.
OVH tenant Steve Knight said: “It was brilliant to attend an event that brought the whole community together. In particular, the kids really enjoyed themselves.”
Ford Sparks Cheerleading Squad helped to ensure everyone remained upbeat despite the rain and judging by the large crowds throughout the day, nobody’s spirit was dampened.
One Vision Housing Community Development Manager Ruth Richardson said:
“We were delighted to see so many people brave the weather and contribute towards a fantastic day. The event was a great opportunity to talk to our tenants and get feedback on how we can keep improving our services. Thank you to everybody who attended and supported the day.”
