Cheque it out
When you end your tenancy, you could be entitled to £200 as part of our Cheque Out Scheme.
The bonus repayment is our way of saying thank you to tenants who have ended their tenancy properly.
We will pay the full £200 bonus to tenants who:
• Leave the property and gardens clean, tidy and free from rubbish
• Allow us to show prospective tenants around the property before they leave
• Have a clear rent account on the day of departure
• Hand all keys in
• Do not leave any repairs that are rechargeable
We will pay a £100 bonus to tenants who give us the correct notice and:
• Leave the property and gardens clean, tidy and free from rubbish
• Have a clear rent account on the day of departure
• Do not leave rechargeable repairs
• Hand all keys in
Your cheque out bonus payment will be sent to your new address.
What happens when I give notice that I am leaving my home?
When you give your notice, your Neighbourhood Officer will visit you and discuss the cheque out payment, inspect the property and discuss with you how to increase the bonus to the maximum £200.
We will advise you of anything you must do to avoid being recharged for any tenant damage or rubbish removal after you have left.
All it takes is a quick phone call or visit to your Neighbourhood Office to make sure you end your tenancy properly, avoid any unnecessary bills and get a bonus cheque out payment.
