One Vision Housing move repairs in-house
One Vision Housing has created up to 100 new jobs after creating a brand new in-house maintenance service.
The move comes on the back of their former contractor Connaught PLC going into administration.
Since administrators, KPMG, took the decision to dismiss all Connaught staff, One Vision Housing has been exploring the best ways to provide essential front line services to customers.
One Vision Housing Chief Executive Roy Williams said: “By managing our repairs and maintenance service directly in-house, we have opted to move away from the responsive repairs contractor model ensuring a more practical and effective service for our customers.”
One Vision Housing Chairman Darren Hardy added: “We hope that this restructure spells good news for at least some of the dismissed Connaught staff as well as providing opportunities for other local workers. This is an exciting time for the organisation.”
One Vision Housing will be recruiting for positions over the next two weeks.
