Safeguarding children and young people
Keeping children and young people safe is everyone’s responsibility.
At One Vision Housing we believe that everyone has the right to enjoy their homes and communities without fear or intimidation. We are committed to keeping our residents and their families safe.
What is safeguarding?
Safeguarding children is defined as:
• Protecting children from maltreatment
• Preventing impairment of children's health or development
• Ensuring children are growing up in circumstances consistent with the provision of safe and effective care.
Children and young people can only be safeguarded if everyone works effectively together.
We work closely with other agencies to ensure support is available to our residents and appropriate action is taken where we have safeguarding concerns.
