Two more awards for OVH
One Vision Housing has come out on top at a prestigious awards ceremony in London which aims to acknowledge ‘unsung’ heroes in the housing sector.
The organisation won two awards at the Housing Heroes Awards including Maintenance Team of the Year. After former contractor, Connaught went into administration at the end of September 2010, the formation of One Vision Housing Property Services at the end of September 2010 brought the repairs and maintenance service in-house and created over 100 local jobs as well as vastly improving service delivery.
Director of Assets and Regeneration Andrew Spencer said: “This award is a real testament to how far we have come. This wouldn’t have been possible without the commitment and dedication of our staff as well as the patience and support of our customers.”
One Vision Housing also won the award for Frontline Housing Team of the Year which was given to their Anti Social Behaviour Team. They were recognised for their customer focused service which continuously demonstrates innovation and achieves results.
Community Safety Manager Paula Simm said: “We’re delighted to win such a highly sought after award. The team have worked tirelessly to improve our anti social behaviour service which has resulted in continuously high customer satisfaction results.”
This year’s awards were presented by the BBC news presenter George Alagiah. The awards attracted almost 650 people with many industry figureheads – including representatives of the main trade and professional bodies, Government ministers and leading experts from across the housing sector.
The awards follow on from One Vision Housing’s inclusion in the Sunday Times Top 100 Companies to work for list in which they came 5th.
