Update on recent Anti Social Behaviour cases

After two years of making life a misery for his neighbours, a tenant in St Christophers Avenue was evicted for causing persistent anti social behaviour and breaking the terms of his tenancy agreement.

With the help of neighbours who attended court to give evidence and working in partnership with Merseyside Police, One Vision Housing was successful in obtaining an injunction with a power of arrest against the tenant.

When the man breached the injunction he was taken back to court and imprisoned. Following further complaints about his behaviour and his visitors after his release from prison an application for possession was made and the case was heard at Liverpool County Court when the judge granted an outright possession order.

The eviction was carried out by the County Court bailiff with Merseyside Police in attendance on 12th July 2011.

A man living in Violet Road, Bootle who threatened and verbally abused his neighbours and allowed his visitors to cause noise and disturbance over a lengthy period of time was taken to court by One Vision Housing where an injunction and power of arrest was secured.

After breaching the injunction several times the tenant appeared in court on 21st June 2011 facing the prospect of a prison sentence and repossession of his home.

Several neighbours attended the hearing to give evidence aagainst him. The tenant realising the evidence was overwhelming against him decided to vacate his tenancy prior to the intended eviction.

One Vision Housing has since secured the flat, ending over 12 months of disturbance and misery inflicted on his neighbours.
