All singing, all dancing
Fred Astaire, eat your heart out! One Vision Housing’s older tenants were out in force for a tea dance at Firwood Cricket Club last week, as part of One Visions celebration of UK Older People's Day (1st October).
The theme for 2011 was ‘Getting and staying active in later life’ and what better way to get active than dancing the afternoon away? The event featured live music from Memory Lane and was attended by nearly 100 people.
To ensure everyone was kept refreshed there was plenty of tea, canapés, cakes and champagne provided by partners One Vision Housing Property Services.
One Vision Housing’s Policy, Planning and Improvement Manager Cara McCullough said: “We wanted to use Older Persons Day to show that getting and staying active in later life can be fun! Everyone had a really fantastic time and I would like to thank all those who attended and made Older Persons Day 2011 one to remember."
