Commited to keeping you safe
Commited to keeping you safeWe are 100% committed to safeguarding our most vulnerable people.
Safeguarding is a term we use to describe someone at risk, be it from some kind of harm, abuse ill-treatment or abuse and neglect.
Neglect is deemed to be something that has a significant impact on a person’s health and wellbeing. It may be that a person who is dependent on others is prevented from having choice and control over the important aspects of their life, causing humiliation and loss of dignity.
Abuse is the misuse of power by one person over another.
We have clear, effective policies to ensure our homes and communities are safe and secure and work closely with partner agencies to address any safeguarding concerns.
If you, or someone you know is suffering from any kind of abuse or neglect we will work closely with other agencies to ensure victims are supported and action is taken against those responsible.
You can report abuse or suspected abuse to the police, social workers, nurses, doctors or a member of our staff.
If you believe the abuse you are suffering or have witnessed involves a member of OVH staff please contact Rachel Mills or Sarah-Jane Saunders on 0300 365 1111.
