Transforming Sefton – Have your say!
Local authorities across the country are being faced with significant budget cuts which could also impact on our ability to offer additional support services.
Last year Sefton Council had to make £44m worth of budget cuts and are having to make a further £20m in the coming financial year.
So that the public can have their say on which areas they believe should be cut and which should be saved, the council are running a consultation exercise asking for your opinions, which is open to responses until the 13th January 2012.
Many of the areas where budget cuts are being proposed will have massive impacts for some of the older, disadvantaged and most vulnerable groups in Sefton. That’s why we believe that it is really important for you to have your say and take part in the consultation exercise. You can do this by accessing the online consultation tool on the ‘Transforming Sefton’ section of the council’s website on www.sefton.gov.uk
Alternatively, if you would like paper copies of the consultation documents please contact One Vision Housing on 0300 365 1111 and we will arrange for these to be sent to you.
