New Rent Reward Scheme from One Vision Housing

One Vision Housing is putting £300 first prizes up for grabs as part of a new scheme designed to encourage and reward consistent rent payment amongst tenants.

The Housing Association believes the scheme, featuring a quarterly draw, will offer a real incentive to tenants to keep their rent accounts up to date.

The scheme which has been designed to be self-financing, is expected to generate real increases in rent receipts, whilst reducing rent arrears and increasing tenant satisfaction.

To qualify customers must have a clear rent account on the day of the draw.

The first draw was held early in October, and the prize was awarded to Miss Norma Mears who was presented with her cheque by One Vision Housing Chief Executive Roy Williams and Board Member Margaret Hurst.

Miss Mears said: "I think this competition is a fantastic idea. It rewards those people who make sure that they pay their rent on time and I know that this money will be a great help to me in the run up to Christmas."

Roy Williams said: "Whilst it is necessary for One Vision Housing to take action against those tenants who fail to ensure their rent is paid, we feel it equally important to acknowledge those tenants who do take their rent seriously.

"We believe this scheme offers a positive reward and incentive to such tenants and we would like to pass on our congratulations to Miss Mears as the first winner in this competition."

The next draw is to be held in the first week of  December.
