One Vision Housing celebrates year of success

One Vision Housing has celebrated its first anniversary.

The housing association came into being on October 30th 2006, when over 11,000 homes were transferred from Sefton Metropolitan Borough Council.

The new organisation has gone from strength to strength - quickly launching an extensive £200m investment programme which will see thousands of properties across Sefton brought up to the Government's Decent Homes Standard by 2010.

The largest Registered Social Landlord (RSL) in Sefton, One Vision Housing has entered into partnership with two of the UK's largest construction companies, Connaught and Kier, as well as launching an integrated Choice Based Lettings partnership with Arena Housing.

Committed to customer service the organisation has just been awarded Charter Mark status having completed a successful assessment earlier this month.

One Vision Housing Chief Executive Roy Williams said: "In the past 12 months we have achieved so much as an organisation.

"We have worked extremely hard to get the right people and structures in place to deliver an excellent customer service and the feedback we have had from organisations like the Housing Corporation and Charter Mark has been extremely encouraging indeed.

"The support we have had from the wider community has also been fantastic and without it we would not have come as far as we have. The aims of the organisation have always reflected the needs of the wider community and this is the single most important factor driving the organisation forward.

"As Chief Executive I would like to thank everyone involved with One Vision Housing for their dedication, support, hard work and commitment over the past 12 months, including Sefton MBC, our tenants, staff, partners and the wider Sefton community."
