Residents living in and around some of our high rise properties in Bootle may be aware that a recent period of unusually strong winds resulted in some of the exterior panels on these flats becoming physically detached from the main structure of the buildings.
One Vision Housing immediately carried out a range of health and safety works including pinning back of all remaining panels to the affected areas as a matter of urgency.
We have now organised specialist engineer inspections by teams of abseilers to ensure there were no other panels that may be susceptible to further storm damage, on either the affected or unaffected blocks.
The surveys of these blocks will be ongoing over the coming months, however due to the forecast of potentially severe weather conditions over the next few weeks we have decided to erect fencing and scaffolding as a precautionary measure.
Surveys to each block will continue individually over the next few weeks to allow us to develop a clearer picture of what further remedial works (if any) we will be required to carry out to your individual block.
We stress at this stage this action is purely a precautionary measure, if however you require further information please contact us on 0845 140 1234 during normal office hours.
