What is anti-social behaviour?

Anti-social behaviour (ASB) is any aggressive, intimidating or destructive activity that damages or destroys another person's quality of life.

ASB can take many forms, including but not limited to:

  • Noise nuisance such as loud music and shouting
  • Intimidation & harassment
  • Racial or other discriminatory harassment / hate crime
  • Nuisance caused by pets including dog fouling
  • Aggressive and threatening language and behaviour
  • Violence against people and property
  • Using homes to sell drugs, or for other unlawful purposes
  • Nuisance from vehicles
  • Alcohol related nuisance
  • Domestic violence, abuse or neglect
  • Dumping or fly tipping
  • Overgrown gardens
  • Misuse of communal areas
