Satellite dishes, Cable and TV aerials
If you're a One Vision Housing tenant and want to put up a satellite dish or TV Aerial, or have cable installed, you'll need to gain written permission from One Vision Housing first, as putting up a TV aerial or satellite dish counts as an alteration or addition to your home.
Sefton Council can offer advice regarding appropriate positioning, planning permission and listed building consent.
We will only refuse permission if there are good reasons, for example, if the improvement will:
- Make your home less safe
- Reduce your living space
- Increase our maintenance costs
- Break building or planning regulations
- Detracts or may damage or redevelopment or refurbishment
- Disturbs asbestos material.
Additionally, we'll need to ensure that any work is carried out to a good standard and that there's no asbestos in the area you're planning to install the antennae or satellite dish.
It’s worth remembering that if you leave and want to take your equipment with you, you'll have to put back any original fixtures and fittings and repair any damage caused by taking the equipment out.
